     Tsui-Wen School
    Tsui-Wen SchoolBirthplace of Luohan-men Culture
Nei-men Township used to be called Luohan-men and is the first place where Buddhism was preached in Taiwan. The literal culture has always been thriving in the town, and common families also are focused on their children's education. To develop local education and at the same time promote Chinese culture, local residents were enthusiastic in sponsoring school establishments. They founded Tsui-Wen School for the education of their children and the place thus became the birthplace of Luohan-men culture. Even though the school building was not huge, it had a long history and was once an important place of local cultural education in Kaohsiung during Qing Dynasty. Today, the school has been rebuilt to be a Confucius Temple. The wooden plate of Tsui-Wen School is also safely kept in Zhi-jhu Temple as a witness of the blooming cultural era.
